Natascha Engst-Wrede addresses the issue of treating animals with respect. In her pictures, chickens and cows are lifted onto a pedestal and look down on the viewer. In the working process, the artist initially develops the depictions of animals in a very colorful mood, but subsequently leaves open the relationship between animal narrations and non-representational abstractions.
