The artists who will live and work together in the summer of 2025 as part of the 17th art festival Werkstattwoche have now been determined! The top-class jury – consisting of Laura Heeg from the renowned Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt, Paula Marschalek from Marschalek Art Management in Vienna, as well as Dino Steinhof and the Young Generation of the art museum Wolfsburg – selected the most promising positions from 188 impressive applications from 41 nations and 6 continents.
The Werkstattwoche week was founded in 1991 with the aim of promoting understanding between people in the old and new federal states. In the meantime, the art symposium has developed into a permanent cultural institution that offers creative people from all over the world the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas.
Almost 120 artists from 25 countries have worked in Lüben since 1991, attracting hundreds of art-loving visitors every two years.
The 17th Werkstattwoche is planned from June 27 to July 7, 2025.
Gegründet wurde die Werkstattwoche 1991 mit dem Ziel, die Verständigung zwischen den Menschen in den alten und neuen Bundesländern zu fördern. Mittlerweile hat sich das Kunstsymposium
zu einer festen kulturellen Einrichtung entwickelt, die Kreativen aus der ganzen Welt die Möglichkeit bietet, sich kennenzulernen und auszutauschen.
Fast 120 Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus 25 Ländern haben so seit 1991 in Lüben gewirkt, die alle zwei Jahre hunderte von kunstinteressierten Besuchern anzieht.
Die 17. Werkstattwoche ist geplant vom 27. Juni bis 7. Juli 2025.
